In 2005, Bishop Joseph P. Bowens and First Lady Alice Bowens founded The Lion of the Tribe of Judah Community Tabernacle (LTJ) in Baltimore, Maryland. From the very beginning, LTJ has been a beacon of faith, service, and support for the local community.

Bishop and Lady Bowens are the proud parents of six children and grandparents to several grandchildren. Bishop Bowens remains deeply devoted to his faith, continuing to serve with unwavering commitment to both his family and the broader community.
