  • The year 2025 marks the 53rd anniversary of ministry for Bishop Reginald Lamont Kennedy, a proud native of Baltimore, Maryland. From the moment he preached his first gospel message at just eleven years old, Bishop Kennedy has been a powerful, anointed voice for God—impacting and inspiring hundreds of lives.

Bishop Kennedy is a graduate of Lake Clifton High School in Baltimore and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Religion and Philosophy from Virginia Union University in Richmond. He went on to receive a Master of Divinity from Family Bible Seminary, followed by a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Advanced Clinical Pastoral Counseling from the University of Family Bible.

    He currently serves as:

    • Senior Pastor of Gospel Tabernacle Baptist Church, where he has faithfully led for 34 years

    • Presiding Prelate of the Spiritual Integrity Covenant Fellowship

    • Chaplain for both the Baltimore County Police and Fire Departments

A published author, Bishop Kennedy has written three impactful books: Introduction to the New Covenant, God’s View of the Family, and his latest, What Really Works in Ministry.

Bishop Kennedy has been married for 41 years to his beloved wife, the former Kelly Ryles. Together, they have raised three wonderful sons—Michael, Timothy, and Daniel. He continually gives God praise for the blessings of his family.

Whether known as Bishop, Pastor, or Preacher, Reginald L. Kennedy remains a devoted servant: God’s man, in God’s place, doing God’s work, in God’s way—for God’s glory.
